Healing with color was one of the first healing methods our ancients figured out. At least this is what our archaeologist surmised. The ancients believed color was a way to keep their body in balance with the rhythms of life. These early people lived on, with and through the earth and what the earth offered. There was nothing but earth, sky, sun, moon, stars, plants, animals and themselves to study and learn how all the parts worked together in balance. It took centuries to figure this out. Now real science supports what the early healers knew. We are energy and we interact with all other energy. Each color has energy and vibration as does each organ in our body with its own color and vibration that goes with it. Over time they saw the connection with all life. Color came to be realized as a way people could express their thoughts, and emotions. Colors that are near us, on us or even in our minds, can make us feel different ways. We also show different colors when we feel different ways. Why do you think certain shades of red are seen as anger and other shades of red seen as love? Because depending on the shade, we feel an emotion. Yellow, for instance, supports feelings and thinking of peace, joy, happiness, like the sun, green brings forth peace and calm. Black is seen as fearful… as in absents of light. White Light is seen as love, and high understanding about how we are all connected to life. Light enhances the vibrations of all other colors. Those who can “see” are able see auras or the colors emanating from within us. When we see pictures from our scripture’s or even other cultures scriptures, we often see people with halos. A halo represent the higher thinking of “Saints” and knowledgeable people. The halo was a way to represent the aura that some could see. Actually most could. There was no interruption from electronics, and people believed what they saw. No one called them crazy, they could all feel the energy. Because they lived with the feeling of energy 24/7. There was nothing human made to interfere…. yet. They understood the “glow “ around certain people, and the feel of calm love emanating from them. Healing with color became natures way of keeping the body in balance with the rhythms of life. Even today, when we get ticked off or just overwhelmed with day to day life, we can go for a walk alone in the woods, fields, or parks and the green vibes around us feel soothing and calming. It changes how we feel and how we communicate. Our emotions and actions affect the electromagnetic field which surrounds us and is reflected in our aura. Each color vibrates in its own magnetic field. Each particular shade of green always vibrates with the same frequency, as all other green objects of the same hue, alive, or static ( plant or blanket).

Over time, people learned that plants vibrated as well and could help us regulate the vibrations that came from us directly. Spearmint, the herb, is very good for stomach distress. It’s green. Some how the early people found the connection between the mint plant, color and vibes and figured out what the compounds in spearmint was good for. Over time green was seen as healing and people learned the different properties of plants and collated them from the life around them. All cultures learned what plants were good for what and how the vibrational energy worked to help people stay healthy. Did you know that digitalis, came from the flowering plant, Fox Glove? My question is always, how did they know? Who exactly figured it out and when? After the first world war many of the medications that we usd now started to be developed. There was a push to create as many medicens as possible to help those who were wondered and dyeing from the war. Penicillin was accidentally discovered about 10 years after the war, in 1928, when mold was found in a petri-dish. People left the old ways. Our populations changed and the only way we could serve the masses was to produce alternative medicine.( Now considered traditional!)

Compounds for something as simple as aspirin, was found to come from willow bark. Now, we never go out to cut a tree when we have a headache. We buy aspirin. Or we learn how to figure out why we have a headache, and once we figure it out, we can make changes in our health without taking anything. Often a headache is caused by overwhelm in some area of our lives. By visioning a healing color, taking the time to slow our breathing and focus on calm we can, most often, banish our headache. We are slowly going back to the old knowledge with new insight. I believe in time we will learn how to incorporate all our “holistic knowledge” with traditional medicine as we go back to best practices of the old knowledge. We now have the understanding of how to incorporate both to the highest levels. Medicine is slowly moving from a chemical base to a physics base. Molecules knowledgeably working together within the regulations of our bodies. Back where it started. Even though our ancestors were not scientist, they figured it out. Now science can look at vibrations of everything, measure the vibes, and see the color. In time we will be back to plant medicines and their vibes, up graded to understand exactly what everything does and why. But it all started with understanding color and the connection to our physical bodies, emotional bodies, or cells and vibrations. It’s coming. We will all be connected once more to the things that are so important. Not so far away ,we will have total vibrational medicine available for all of us. It’s already in the works.

Color is connected to everything. Color Therapy can be used to work with all levels of our body, emotional, physical, Spiritual. Spiritual does not mean religion. It is about our personal relationship with our Creator, however that works for us personally. Religion is about what people think, are taught and believe about our Creator. There are over 3000 different religions in our world. Most believe in one God and “his” Son, although many are taught different practices. We tend to argue with each other over our different training’s. We often think our training is the only right way. A lot to think about.

There is a great deal more to color therapy then I can share here. This is just the basics to help us get started thinking.

A simple way to use color in our own space is through rainbow meditation. A few minutes a day can make a major change in every aspect of our lives. So simple, we can teach even our smallest child to relax and be calm. When any of us can relax and calm our bodies, our minds and emotions work so much better. Part 3 will cover Rainbow Meditation. Watch for it on the 18th! Have a great week ! Really look at the colors around you, from the colors in your room, to what colors you choose to ware. How do they make you feel? Was there a reason you chose the colors around you? Let us know if and when you can feel them and how they make you feel.. We would love to know that your experiences are. Sorry this is so late, internet was down nearly a week!

Keep well, Sonja
